Warsh Wins Vote, Crypto Bill Advances, China Talks 

On Wednesday, the Senate approved President Trump’s nomination of Kevin Warsh on a mostly partisan vote-basis to succeed Jerome Powell as chair of the Federal Reserve board. Powell’s term as chair ends today, but he can serve as a governor until his term expires in January of 2028. He has stated he will remain as a governor until the threat of a criminal charge is eliminated.
